The 5-4-3 Double Play | Stacks, Matchups, and Value Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings | April 26

The focus of this article is to sort through the myriad of options on larger slates and find not only some solid foundational plays but also some spots that could go overlooked.  We focus on stacks that are solid for small-field and SE as well as overlooked spots for large-field GPPs, and we discuss players that have good past history vs. the pitchers they’re facing.  Our Discord strategy rooms are incredibly active. FIVE DFS MLB Stacks
Atlanta Braves
One of the league’s best offenses in a divisional matchup against a pitcher who’s struggling? Yes, please. Aaron Nola is just off this season (an ERA over five) and the Braves continue to hit. Oh, and Atlanta has an OPS of .899 against him in 338 AB. Austin Riley, Ronald Acuna, Jr., and Matt Olson are where I’m starting given their track record against him.

Toronto Blue Jays
Slade Cecconi hasn’t found his rhythm quite yet (a 6.20 ERA and 1.60 WHIP), and given the matchup on the other side of the mound, I could see a nice little game stack situation as well. Good spot for Vladimir Guerrero, Jr., Ernie Clement, Daulton Varsho, and the rest of the Blue Jays, who are averaging close to six runs per game over the last week.

Washington Nationals
The White Sox have been one of the hotter teams lately (and they could easily have found a spot in this article), but I’m also bullish on the Nats in this one as I think more of the field may gravitate to Chicago. There are enough hot Nats hitters that I can see some solid exposure being worthwhile here, and especially given that the White Sox bullpen has the second worst (5.75) group ERA in baseball and Bryan Hudson (the opener) is one of those. Start your stacks with CJ Abrams and James Wood, of course, but don’t forget names like Daylen Lile and Luis Garcia.

New York Yankees
Better pitching on the mound today for Houston with Spencer Arrighetti and his 2.45 ERA, but the Yankee lineup can get to anyone at any time, and the Astro bullpen and their 5.75 group ERA is lurking. I’m absolutely fine with going with some shares in tournaments today. Ben Rice, Jazz Chisholm, and Cody Bellinger are their hottest hitters…and don’t forget about Aaron Judge, of course.

Cleveland Guardians
This is an obvious spot as long-time DFSers know well: stack against Patrick Corbin. Cleveland’s offense likes to go overlooked, but this spot may not be one of those moments. Besides Jose Ramirez, my favorite spots would be Angel Martinez and Brayan Rocchio as well as Rhys Hoskins given his results against Corbin. Most of the pieces you’d want are fairly nicely priced.
