DFS NHL Building Blocks for DraftKings and FanDuel – April 9

NHL Building Blocks – April 9

Five games on this mid-week Wednesday, and most affect the playoffs in some way.  Let’s dive in!

The premise of each article in this series is to feature starting spots (building blocks) for your lines.  These are plays that are cash-viable as well as GPP-worthy and can be considered in all contest formats.

Starting Lineup – April 9
The Goalie
: Mark-Andre Fleury
Fleury (12-9-1 / 2.78 / .903) won’t have many starts left before either the playoffs begin or his career ends, but he gets the nod in a somewhat must-have game, and the Sharks aren’t necessarily an offense that is that intimidating, so he should be in a good spot.

The Center: Brayden Point
Five goals and three assists in his last five games and leads the team with 41 goals; also getting the Leafs on the second half of a back-to-back.

The Wing: Artemi Panarin
Two goals and six helpers over his last five games; it’s literally now or never for the Rangers.

The Defenseman: Cam Fowler
Goal and five assists in his last five; playing an elite offense, so he’ll be needed all over.

The Value: Ryan Poehling
Has five goals and two assists in his last five games.

The Stack: TB (Kucherov-Point-Guentzel)
This trio just keeps producing, and they get Toronto on the second half of their Florida back-to-back, so there is plenty of upside here.  34, 41, and 38 goals respectively from this trio, and you can mix in Hagel (35) and Cirelli (26) for secondary exposure.
