NHL Building Blocks – April 17
The playoff matchups are set on this last day of the regular season. Play light, though, as no team has anything to play for and many players will either sit out the finale or have limited minutes. Let’s dive in!
The premise of each article in this series is to feature starting spots (building blocks) for your lines. These are plays that are cash-viable as well as GPP-worthy and can be considered in all contest formats.
Starting Lineup – April 17
The Goalie: Jet Greaves
The Blue Jackets’ goalie of the future, they’ll want to get him as much experience as they can, and the Isles’ offense just isn’t that good.
The Center: John Tavares
He’s had a great season (in a contract year) and will want to continue the momentum into the postseason.
The Wing: Nikita Kucherov
He’s winning the scoring title and possibly the Hart to go along with it, and the matchup is a good one against a disappointing Rangers squad.
The Defenseman: Zach Werenski
The Blue Jackets came up short this season, but Werenski firmly established himself as a top-tier defenseman.
The Stack: BUF (Thompson-Tuch-Peterka)
The Sabres have some offensive talent and they get a solid matchup here.
