Tonight’s 10-game slate has a few matchups that could resolve some playoff participants. Let’s dive in!
The premise of each article in this series is to feature starting spots (building blocks) for your lines. These are plays that are cash-viable as well as GPP-worthy and can be considered in all contest formats.
Starting Lineup – April 10
The Goalie: Adin Hill
Hill (30-13-5 / 2.49 / .906) and the Golden Knights are rounding into playoff form, and they get an average Seattle offense coming into Vegas. They’ve got home-ice for the first round and have an outside shot at the second if they can continue to keep winning.
The Center: Nathan MacKinnon
Four goals and six assists during a seven-game point streak; a win against Vancouver could essentially knock the Canucks out of the playoff race and get Colorado one step closer to home ice in the first round.
The Wing: David Pastrnak
Pasta continues to compete even though the Bruins are out of it, notching five goals and adding seven assists in his last five games, and he gets a great matchup tonight against the Blackhawks.
The Defenseman: Cale Makar
Best defenseman in the world at home in a plus matchup.
The Value: Elmer Soderblom
With the Wings’ season essentially over, he may get some additional ice time.
The Stack: BOS (Pastrnak-Geekie-Zacha-Lindholm)
Even though the Bruins’ season has gone into the dumpster, they’re still competing, and this group continues to actually play well. Chicago’s defense isn’t special at all, and given Boston’s record, they could easily go overlooked a bit even in a great spot.
