NHL Building Blocks – March 4
Lots of good options in these 10 games tonight. Let’s dive in!
The premise of each article in this series is to feature starting spots (building blocks) for your lines. These are plays that are cash-viable as well as GPP-worthy and can be considered in all contest formats.
Starting Lineup – March 4
The Goalie: Connor Hellebuyck
Should be popular tonight as the league’s best goalie (36-7-3 / 1.99 / .927) gets an Isles team that’s struggling.
The Center: Leon Draisaitl
Nine goals and seven helpers during his 11-game point streak and continues to lead the league in goals (44, nine more than second place). Oilers get the hapless Ducks tonight as well.
The Wing: Alex Debrincat
It’s a tough matchup, but he’s one of the hottest players right now, currently sporting a nine-game point streak (eight goals, including five in his last five, and six assists).
The Defenseman: Zach Werenski
A number of great defensemen are on the slate tonight, but he’s got such a great floor/ceiling combo and it’s a really nice game environment on both sides.
The Value: Corey Perry
Up to 13 goals on the season and continues to skate on PP2; great spot for the Oilers tonight.
The Stack: COL (MacKinnon-Necas-Makar)
All the signs point to a great showing from the Avs tonight: they’re at home in the altitude hosting a Penguins team that’s given up the most goals in all of hockey. Mix in Nichushkin, Drouin, and Lehkonen as secondary pieces.
