DFS NHL Building Blocks for DraftKings and FanDuel – March 31

NHL Building Blocks – March 31

We’ve got four games tonight, the last day of March.  Let’s dive in!

The premise of each article in this series is to feature starting spots (building blocks) for your lines.  These are plays that are cash-viable as well as GPP-worthy and can be considered in all contest formats.

Starting Lineup – March 31
The Goalie
: Mackenzie Blackwood
Everything sets up well for Blackwood (27-18-6 / 2.45 / .916) with the Avs hosting the Flames in the altitude; Calgary’s offense is one of the worst in the league, scoring fewer goals than every team in the league outside of Nashville.

The Center: Nathan MacKinnon
Great spot for the league’s leading scorer.

The Wing: Matvei Michkov
Four goals and five assists in his last five games; it’s like the training wheels have come off since Tortorella was fired.

The Defenseman: Cale Makar
Likely this season’s Norris winner and on pace for 30 goals; highest ceiling of any defenseman on the slate, so consider locking in the points.

The Value: Jani Nyman
Three goals and three assists in nine games since getting called up.

The Stack: DAL (Robertson-Rantanen-Hintz-Johnston)
Little less chalky than Colorado but in nearly as good of a spot; these four have been playing extremely well recently.
