DFS NHL Building Blocks for DraftKings and FanDuel – March 29

NHL Building Blocks – March 29

Saturday night brings us another six-game slate.  Let’s dive in!

The premise of each article in this series is to feature starting spots (building blocks) for your lines.  These are plays that are cash-viable as well as GPP-worthy and can be considered in all contest formats.

Starting Lineup – March 29
The Goalie
: Jake Oettinger
Oettinger (34-15-3 / 2.50 / .909) and the Stars’ defense both continue to be very good, and Dallas is trending toward home ice in at least the first round.  Seattle’s offense is decent, but even on the road, I like him in this one, especially with the offense in front of him playing as well as they have in recent games.

The Center: Nazem Kadri
Seven goals and an assist in his last five games, and the Flames get a fairly decent match against an Oilers team that’s allowed 18 goals in their last four contests.

The Wing: Zach Hyman
Has stepped up with McDavid and Draisaitl out, notching five goals and adding two helpers in his last five games; he’s finally looking like the 50+ goal scorer from last season, and just at the right moment as the playoffs are looming.

The Defenseman: Mattias Ekholm
Normally the stay-at-home one on the top pairing, he’s playing well offensively lately with a goal and five helpers over the Oilers’ past five games, and he also plays all three situations.

The Value: Brennan Othmann
On L1 with Panarin and Trocheck.

The Stack: DET (Larkin-Debrincat-Raymond-Kane)
The Bruins have lost seven in a row (and have allowed 36 goals during that stretch) and the Wings are close to their last leg in terms of making the playoffs, so I like the desperation against a down opponent.
