NHL Building Blocks – March 28
We kick off the weekend with a tidy six-gamer. Let’s dive in!
The premise of each article in this series is to feature starting spots (building blocks) for your lines. These are plays that are cash-viable as well as GPP-worthy and can be considered in all contest formats.
Starting Lineup – March 28
The Goalie: Adin Hill
Hill (27-11-5 / 2.48 / .908) should be the chalk goalie on the slate tonight facing the Blackhawks; even on the road, I like him in any format.
The Center: Jack Eichel
Five goals and five assists in his last five games and has already notched a career-high in points this season. Great spot tonight for him.
The Wing: Taylor Hall
Hall has slotted onto PP1 since coming over at the deadline and he’s responded; he’s got five goals and two helpers in his last five.
The Defenseman: Quinn Hughes
Two of the league’s three best defensemen are in this game, and I’m leaning toward the one who’s playing better and whose team is trending up.
The Value: Jonathan Lekkerimaki
He won’t be this cheap if he keeps playing like he has been.
The Stack: VGK (Eichel-Stone-Dorofeyev-Barbashev)
Hertl is out, but the team is still playing well, and they have the best matchup tonight, so I’m fine with being overweight here.
