NHL Building Blocks – March 24
Monday brings us four games to get us started this week, and we’ve got a lot of playoff implications within these matchups. Let’s dive in!
The premise of each article in this series is to feature starting spots (building blocks) for your lines. These are plays that are cash-viable as well as GPP-worthy and can be considered in all contest formats.
Starting Lineup – March 24
The Goalie: Jake Oettinger
Oettinger (32-15-3 / 2.54 / .906) should have some viability in any format tonight as the Stars’ defense is good and the Wild have scored the third fewest goals (22) over their past 10 games.
The Center: Nico Hischier
Four goals and three assists during a six-game point streak and has stepped up in Jack Hughes’s absence.
The Wing: Patrick Kane
The Wings are desperate and Kane has been one of the leaders in keeping them in the race (barely) with three goals and six assists in his last five games.
The Defenseman: Noah Dobson
Always a really nice floor; he’s got two goals and five assists in his last five games. Pivot from the chalkier Werenski as well.
The Value: Kiefer Sherwood
Seeing more ice time since the Miller trade; up to 15 goals on the season.
The Stack: DET (Larkin-Debrincat-Raymond-Kane)
The only game with a 6.5 total on the slate, I want to be overweight on the team that needs the win. Mix in Seider as a secondary piece.
