DFS NHL Building Blocks for DraftKings and FanDuel – March 18

NHL Building Blocks – March 18

Nine games tonight featuring some good offenses.  Which ones are the ones to target?  Let’s dive in!

The premise of each article in this series is to feature starting spots (building blocks) for your lines.  These are plays that are cash-viable as well as GPP-worthy and can be considered in all contest formats.

Starting Lineup – March 18
The Goalie
: Jake Oettinger
Oettinger (30-15-3 / 2.55 / .907) should be the chalk goalie on the slate facing the anemic Duck offense.  He’s your cash option and is viable anywhere.

The Center: Roope Hintz
Two goals and eight assists in his last five games and is getting the best matchup on the slate.

The Wing: Alex Ovechkin
Prime spot for Ovie to narrow the gap: 6.5 game total and at home against a Wings defense that is quite below average.

The Defenseman: Lane Hutson
Could be the leader for the Calder (fourth among all defensemen in scoring); game environment is solid for scoring as well.

The Value: Elmer Soderblom
L1/PP1 with Larkin and Raymond.

The Stack: DAL (Hintz-Rantanen-Robertson)
The best matchup tonight, these three have combined for eight goals and 11 assists in their last five games.  Decide if you’re eating the chalk or not.
