DFS NHL Building Blocks for DraftKings and FanDuel – March 14

NHL Building Blocks – March 14

Six good games with a lot of good and hot offenses on the slate.  Where do we start?  Let’s dive in!

The premise of each article in this series is to feature starting spots (building blocks) for your lines.  These are plays that are cash-viable as well as GPP-worthy and can be considered in all contest formats.

Starting Lineup – March 14
The Goalie
: Mackenzie Blackwood
Blackwood (18-7-3 / 2.17 / .919 since coming to Colorado mid-season) get a nice tonight facing a Flames offense that’s scored the fewest goals in the league.  Tbe Avs are also playing well defensively lately, allowing just 21 goals over their last 10 games with a +18 goal differential during that span (tied for the best mark over that stretch).

The Center: Roope Hintz
Two goals and 11 assists over his last five games, and though it’s a tough matchup, he and his linemates are a way to get different.

The Wing: Steven Stamkos
Five goals and four assists in his last five games and in one of the best matchups tonight.

The Defenseman: Cale Makar
Two goals and six assists in his last five games (and on pace for 30 goals from the blue line).

The Value: Jackson Blake
With Rantanen gone, he’s up on L1/PP1; facing a below-average Wings defense tonight.

The Stack: NSH (Forsberg-Stamkos-Marchessault)
The Preds have underachieved more than any team this season, but you can’t argue the matchup against an awful Ducks team.  Stamkos is hot and Forsberg always has a great floor with a high ceiling.
