Correlated Snipe #1 – Adam Fantilli – Kent Johnson – Dmitri Voronkov
There were a bunch of injuries for Columbus in their last game against the Stars, including their top forward Kirill Marchenko. Lines and roster moves have yet to happen at the time of writing this, but assuming Kent Johnson gets promoted to top line, he has an opportunity to really show-out here. He is a magnificent player that is young and trying to prove himself. Voronkov is the big steady guy, Fantilli is the franchise center that is starting to pop, and Kent Johnson is primed to explode if given this opportunity. This is a very cost-effective line, that correlates all over the place, and Buffalo stinks. High upside is what we chase, and high upside is what we have here.
Correlated Snipe #2 – Cole Caufield – Nick Suzuki – Juraj Slafkovsky
You can always throw Lane Hutson into any build involving the Montreal Canadiens. The Canadiens are in San Jose against a team that they are simply better than. Montreal has playoff aspirations and if you want to make it, you have to win the games you are favorited on the schedule. With the Laine line potentially in the doghouse a little bit here I am leaning on the top line big boys for Montreal that correlate on the top powerplay unit as well. This is a late game hammer, and I think this stack has the potential to pop.
Grinders:
Ondrej Palat – Cheap and on the top powerplay unit with Nico Hischier on the shelf.
Cole Sillinger – More minutes and top powerplay unit responsibilities with Kirill Marchenko on the shelf.
Simon Holmstrom – Top powerplay unit with Mathew Barzal on the shelf.
Bonus Stack – Jack Hughes – Jesper Bratt
Obviously Palat who made my grinders portion is a viable stacking partner with him correlating on their line and powerplay unit as well. Jack Hughes and his linemates will be heavily relied upon with no Hischier in this one. the Penguins have given up and are not fast enough.
