The premise of each article in this series is to feature starting spots (building blocks) for your lines. These are plays that are cash-viable as well as GPP-worthy and can be considered in all contest formats.
Starting Lineup – February 6
The Goalie: Sergei Bobrovsky
Bob (22-12-2 / 2.71 / .901) gets possibly the best matchup on the slate as the Blues’ offense has scored the sixth fewest goals in the league and is averaging under two goals a game over their last 10 contests.
The Center: Jack Hughes
Five goals and three assists during a six-game point streak; the matchup is tough against Vegas, but he’s got a good floor regardless (especially as he sees time in all three situations).
The Wing: William Nylander
Hat trick last game to bring him up to 33 goals, second most in the league. Solid spot for the Leafs tonight as well, and I like the upside as well as the floor (he shoots close to four times a game).
The Defenseman: Jake Sanderson
Three goals and seven assists during his six-game point streak; they’re on the road facing Tampa Bay for the second game in a row, so he’ll be needed in both ends of the ice.
The Value: Mitchell Chaffee
Up on PP1 with the big boys.
The Stack: VAN (Pettersson-Garland-Debrusk)
Should be fairly popular even with the drama surrounding them: San Jose has given up 47 goals in their last 10 games and is approaching four goals allowed a game on the season. Mix in Boeser and Chytil as they play PP1 as well.
