Starting Lineup – February 26
The Goalie: Darcy Kuemper
Kuemper (17-6-6 / 2.22 / .918) may singlehandedly be the reason the Kings are doing as well as they are. Vancouver’s offense has been struggling and Quinn Hughes is still out, and Los Angeles is at home for this one.
The Center: Nathan MacKinnon
The league’s leading scorer has one of the best floor/ceiling combos in the league, and this is the best game environment for offense tonight.
The Wing: Jesper Bratt
Two goals and 14 assists during his 10-game point streak, and his offense will be needed tonight.
The Defenseman: Filip Hronek
Talented in his own right and seeing more time with Hughes out; sees time in all three situations. On a small slate, he could go overlooked with the stud defensemen, and it’s a good way to get different.
The Value: Pius Suter
Plays all three situations; 14 goals (tied for third on the team).
The Stack: NJ (Hughes-Bratt-Hischier)
Hischier is back from injury, which ups the ceiling of this group, and the Avs do allow the 10th most goals in the league. Mix in Noesen and Palat as secondary pieces.
