NHL Building Blocks – January 13
We’ve got a nice and tidy three-gamer to kick off the week. Let’s dive in!
The premise of each article in this series is to feature starting spots (building blocks) for your lines. These are plays that are cash-viable as well as GPP-worthy and can be considered in all contest formats.
Starting Lineup – January 13
The Goalie: Dustin Wolf
Good spot for Wolf (14-6-2 / 2.53 / .916) as he faces a Blackhawks team that’s nearly last in goals scored this season.
The Center: Leon Draisaitl
Almost a must-play on any slate, especially as he continues to lead the league in goals with 31.
The Wing: Sam Reinhart
Two goals last game to bring him up to 25 on the season (tied for second in the league), and he’s in a good matchup tonight. Sees time in all three situations as well, which raises his floor.
The Defenseman: Seth Jones
Always a good floor (he shoots and blocks shots) in a ton of minutes (nearly 25 a game). 14 points in just 27 games and plays all three situations.
The Value: Anthony Richard
Goal and four assists in his last five games.
The Stack: FLA (Reinhart-Barkov-Rodrigues)
Flyers’ defense is decent, but there’s good upside here. 47 goals from this trio; Tkachuk and Verhaeghe are your secondary pieces.
