DFS NHL Building Blocks for DraftKings and FanDuel – December 15

NHL Building Blocks – December 15

We’ve got four games to wrap up the weekend.  Let’s dive in!

The premise of each article in this series is to feature starting spots (building blocks) for your lines.  These are plays that are cash-viable as well as GPP-worthy and can be considered in all contest formats.

Starting Lineup – December 15
The Goalie
: Pyotr Kochetkov
The home goalie and the backstop for the better team, he’s been very good (12-5-0 / 2.61 / .895) all season as he continues to not only fill in for Fredrik Andersen but also make his case for a starter’s spot.  Columbus has some firepower and can shoot the puck, but Carolina’s defense is very good and the Blue Jackets are on the second half of a back-to-back.  Solid in all formats.

The Center: Jack Eichel
Tied for eighth in scoring with 39 points in just 29 games, Eichel and the Golden Knights get the Wild on the second half of a home back-to-back.

The Wing: Martin Necas
Tied for third in the league in scoring with 43 points and showing no sign of slowing down; Canes get one of the better matchups this afternoon.

The Defenseman: Zach Werenski
Starting to get his due as he continues to play the best hockey of his career, leading the Blue Jackets in scoring (31
points) and shots on goal (109) in 30 games.  Tough matchup against the Hurricanes, so he’ll be needed in both ends tonight.

The Value: Eric Robinson
Skating on L2 with Necas for cheap; eight goals and nine helpers in 29 games.

The Stack: CAR (Necas-Aho-Roslovic-Svechnikov)
The latter three are together at even strength and on the power play with Necas, and together they are responsible for 45 goals.  They’re too expensive to stack together, but you’ll want at least three of them together (and mix in Jarvis and Gostisbehere).
