Starting Lineup – December 10
The Goalie: Connor Hellebuyck
Great spot for Hellebuyck (17-5-0 / 2.14 / .925) at home tonight against a middling Bruins team who may be without David Pastrnak as well, and even if he plays, the Jets’ defense is one of the best in the league, and Boston has made the long road trip.
The Center: Brayden Point
16 goals in just 21 games this season and is in a great game environment against the Oilers tonight.
The Wing: Matthew Tkachuk
Five goals and 10 assists during his current six-game point streak and in a great matchup tonight against a Kraken team trotting out their backup goaltender.
The Defenseman: Quinn Hughes
Great spot for the reigning Norris winner as the Canucks host the Blues and their bottom-five offense (just 72 goals in 28 games). Hughes has notched three goals and 10 helpers during his seven-game point streak and is on pace for 101 points this season.
The Value: Max Pacioretty
Nice upside in a solid game environment; may be on L2 with Tavares/Nylander as well depending on other injury news.
The Stack: FLA (Tkachuk-Verhaeghe-Bennett)
These three have combined for 24 points over their past five games and are playing as well as any line in the league. Good matchup tonight against an average Seattle team. Mix in Barkov and Reinhart (or use the two of them as a mini stack as well).
