Small and awful slate of games today which is to be expected on NFL Sunday. The NHL doesn’t want to compete with the NFL, which makes sense to me. I will be leaving my cheap grinders for our subscribers who are in the Discord and clicking on my cheat-sheets. Now let’s get a couple of stacks in.
Correlated Snipe ##1 – Artemi Panarin – Vincent Trocheck
We can add in their powerplay quarterback Adam Fox, or their line-mate Alexis Lafreniere. Both add on’s are perfectly viable and garner big upside. I am simply writing up the meat and potatoes of this stack. The Zibanejad/Kreider line would be the leverage off of this stack, which makes sense to play on such a small slate. The Kraken will most likely play Grubauer in net, who is terrible. I say this because Daccord just played yesterday, and most goalies don’t start both games of a back to back. We are usually going to target Grubauer when he is in net, and now we have a top notch offense up against him.
Correlated Snipe #2 – Connor McMichael – Tom Wilson
Yes, the Strome/Ovechkin stack is the primary Washington stack, but I want to save a little money here. Wilson and McMichael actually have higher floors as well in my opinion. Ovechkin can either be very hot or very cold, and with a couple of scoreless games after a heater, I am not chasing Ovechkin goals here. I have seen this too many times. McMichael is a good young player and has a hot stick right now, and Tom Wilson is old reliable. John Carlson is also viable in these stacks. Vegas has a tough defense, but iffy goaltending. Ilya Samsonov may be in net for Vegas tonight and he is both bad and Washington has the boon on him (He is a Washington draft pick).
