NHL Building Blocks – November 20
Mid-week doldrums? Five games on the schedule tonight to get us out of it! Let’s dive in!
The premise of each article in this series is to feature starting spots (building blocks) for your lines. These are plays that are cash-viable as well as GPP-worthy and can be considered in all contest formats.
Starting Lineup – November 20
The Goalie: Pyotr Kochetkov
Will be popular facing a Flyers team that ranks in the bottom 10 in goals scored (though they can occasionally pop off) and fifth-worst in shots per game. Still, the Canes’ defense is as good as it’s ever been (they’ve given up the third fewest goals in the league on the fewest shots per game at just over 25).
The Center: Jack Eichel
Should be a good game environment tonight for Eichel, who is in the middle of a six-game point streak (two goals and 10 helpers). He’ll be involved all over.
The Wing: Martin Necas
10 goals and 17 assists during his 13-game point streak, and the Canes have a great matchup tonight. Keep going right back to him.
The Defenseman: Roman Josi
Averaging just under four shots and two blocks per game while compiling 12 points through 19 games; may have the best floor in the league.
The Value: Nicolas Roy
Still seeing PP1 time; five goals and seven assists through 18 games and in a good matchup.
The Stack: DAL (Marchment-Duchene-Seguin)
This trio has compiled eight goals and 13 assists in their past five games, and they are at home facing a bad Sharks defense. Great spot and fairly priced as well.
