DFS NHL Building Blocks for DraftKings and FanDuel – November 12

NHL Building Blocks – November 12

Some nice offenses and good goalies highlight tonight’s seven-gamer.  Let’s dive in!

The premise of each article in this series is to feature starting spots (building blocks) for your lines.  These are plays that are cash-viable as well as GPP-worthy and can be considered in all contest formats.

Starting Lineup – November 12
The Goalie
: Kevin Lankinen
Lankinen (7-1-2 / 2.61 / .905) has been very good this season “filling in” as the top option in net while Demko is out, and he’s a big reason why Vancouver is playing as well as they are.  Calgary’s offense has sputtered since the first couple of weeks of the season (averaging under three goals per game), so I don’t mind him here at home tonight.

The Center: Alexander Barkov
10 goals in 15 games and is always in play (either as a McDavid pivot or as part of an Oilers stack).  Edmonton’s one of the biggest favorites on the slate tonight, so there’s a good chance he’ll be part of any success they have.

The Wing: Mitch Marner
On an eight-game point streak (three goals and 10 helpers) and facing a Senators defense that doesn’t intimidate; he’s stepped up in Matthews’s absence.

The Defenseman: Quinn Hughes
Seven points in his last four games and continues to be an all-world defenseman (he also leads the Canucks in scoring with 15 points while playing nearly 25 minutes a night).

The Value: Jonathan Lekkerimaki
L1/PP2 in Miller’s absence and in one of the best spots tonight.

The Stack: VAN (Miller-Pettersson-Hughes-Garland)
Canucks have a great matchup and these are the beneficiaries of extra minutes in Boeser’s absence.  13 goals between them and a good mix of even strength and power play exposure.
