The Milly Maker is a Large Field GPP Contest on DraftKings that pays out $1,000,000 to First. Learn the winning trends that we’ve found by reviewing years of Milly Maker Winners!
This was the lowest scoring Milly Maker winning lineup that I think I’ve ever seen. I went back through 2021, 2022, and 2023 seasons, and the lowest winning score I could find was in the 190s. But, hey, at least it was highly correlated. Let’s take a look at the Week 7 Milly Maker Winner that won this ugly slate riddled with injuries and no shows.
Week 7 | Points |
S Darnold | 17.26 |

On a day when a lot of the chalk exited the game early due to injury, you just knew a very contrarian lineup would win the Milly maker.
Top Leverage Plays
Gibbs at 3%
This might have been aided by a Montgomery injury/fumble, but Gibbs looked amazing nonetheless, and was the top scoring player on the entire slate at under 5% ownership.
Hardman at .90%
Almost minimum priced and scored double digit points on a slate where a lot of Wide Receivers failed to deliver value.
Amon-Ra St. Brown at 8%
The low Amon-Ra ownership didn’t seem to make sense as he had a great matchup vs Zone coverage in a high game total, and he ended up being WR1 on the slate at under 9% ownership.

In a very low scoring week by DFS Standards, the entire winning Milly Maker lineup didn’t even hit 4X and there were no players that hit over 6X their salary; I think that’s a first for me with reviewing winning Milly Maker lineups. The best value was Njoku at 5.75X who a lot of DFS Army staff was on this week with the loss of Amari Cooper to Buffalo via trade. The worst value in the lineup was Jefferson at 2.51X with 21.4 points at his 8500 salary.
Ceiling
The lowest winning Milly Maker score – since at least 2020 – has brought this season’s ceiling down to a lowly 218.76. The average winning score in 2023 was 238 FPTS and the average winning score in 2022 was 240 FPTS, so we’re way below averages from prior years. Are we due for some positive regression or is this the new norm?
