Defenses to Stream – Week 14 Fantasy Football

DFS Army’s Gthom goes over the defenses to stream this week. The defenses to stream listed below are normally found in at least 40-percent of leagues (prior to waivers).

Houston Texans D/ST vs New York Jets

Available in 91% of Sleeper Leagues

It continues to be a mess within the walls of the Jets’ organization. Fantasy managers would be wise to play opposing D/ST’s against New York. Over the last five weeks the Jets have allowed the most fantasy points to D/ST’s and teams are averaging 20-FPPG against them. When adjusting for schedule the Jets are still the worst team in the NFL during the aforementioned time frame, allowing 12.1-fantasy points over expectation (which is impressively bad). The Jets are also top-four in the NFL for most sacks allowed and most turnovers, which gives your D/ST the ammo it needs to dominate in Week 14.

Green Bay Packers D/ST vs New York Giants

Available in 87% of Sleeper Leagues

The Giants take on a surging Green Bay team and New York may have a hard time holding up. In their last four games the Giants have allowed 12-FPPG to the D/ST position (29th) and five fantasy points above expectation (30th). For the season, the Giants are the worst in both aforementioned categories. They also allow the league’s most sacks with 69 for the season which gives your fantasy defense a great floor in this match up. Continue to target the Giants with your D/ST’s.

New Orleans Saints D/ST vs Carolina Panthers

Available in 68% of Sleeper Leagues

The Panthers are the second worst team in the NFL against opposing D/ST’s over the last three weeks. In those games they have surrendered 12.7-FPPG to D/ST’s (29th) and allowed 4.3 fantasy points above expectation (27th). These are similar to their season-long numbers as well, where they have allowed 10.8-FPPG (28th) and 3.1 fantasy points above expectation (27th). Lastly, the Panthers’ offense fails to protect the quarterback, not to mention they are allergic to the end zone. One thing is for sure, the Saints are setup for success if they can take care of the football in Week 14.
