Boston Celtics @ Milwaukee Bucks
Vegas Total: NA
Vegas Spread: NA
We’ll kick this slate off with the Celtics, Jayson Tatum returned last time out and played his normal role, he dropped 64.25 DraftKings points in this spot earlier this season and will look like a top spend-up option on a short slate. Jaylen Brown came down to Earth in a weird blowout against the Wizards last time out but will look solid here in a fast-paced matchup against the Bucks in a big Eastern Conference game. Malcolm Brogdon is a guy who is going to struggle in games that aren’t competitive like their last game, he losses a full rotation when the game blows out. That said, I would expect this game to stay close, and is a guy I like going back to in a revenge game against the Bucks. Derrick White and Marcus Smart are in a similar boat and make sense as secondary options. Then guys like Al Horford and Robert Williams are fine GPP options, Williams comes in as questionable, so keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed for updates on him. From the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jrue Holiday had absolutely massive games last night against the Pacers with Khris Middleton ruled out. It’ll be interesting to see what they do here, they would have to blow up over their last few games to lose the 1-seed in the Eastern Conference, but a loss in this one would go a long way, so I would think they play their big three even on the back end of a back to back. Giannis is going to look like a great spend-up option while Holiday and Middleton will be secondary options. Brook Lopez continues to be in great form and this matchup doesn’t scare me on a short slate, he’s a nice option as well. Then guys like Grayson Allen and Pat Connaughton are fine GPP options to round out the team.
5-star play: Jayson Tatum, Giannis Antetokounmpo
4-star play: Jrue Holiday, Brook Lopez, Khris Middleton, Jaylen Brown, Malcolm Brogdon, Derrick White, Marcus Smart
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Pat Connaughton, Grayson Allen, Al Horford, Robert Williams

New Orleans Pelicans @ Denver Nuggets
Vegas Total: NA
Vegas Spread: NA
Starting with the Pelicans, Brandon Ingram is my preferred option between him and CJ McCollum, but both guys are nice options in a nice matchup. McCollum struggled with the Warriors last time out while Ingram has been in elite form over the last couple of weeks. Jonas Valanciunas was run off of the court but the small-ball Warriors last time out and played just 22 minutes. His minutes have been trending in the right direction before that game and they’ll need his minutes against Jokic in this one, so I have no issue going right back to the well with him here. Then guys like Trey Murphy and Herb Jones make sense as filler pieces to round out your rosters. Murphy has the ability to get hot from three-point range on any given night, he bounced back nicely against the Warriors last time out. From the Nuggets, Nikola Jokic comes into this one as questionable on the front end of a back-to-back, so it’s certainly conceivable that he could sit here. If that’s the case I would expect to see a nice boost for Zeke Nnaji and Thomas Bryant, but for the sake of this article, I’ll operate under the assumption that he’s good to go. He’ll be right up there with Jayson Tatum and Giannis as a top spend-up option on the slate. He’s averaging 69.6 DraftKings points per game in three games against the Pelicans this season. Jamal Murray has been good in this matchup this season as well and makes for a perfectly good option on a short slate. Michael Porter Jr. and Aaron Gordon are similar options and have big ceilings in the mid-range if you land on them. Then guys like Bruce Brown and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope are fine GPP options to round out the team.
5-star play: Brandon Ingram, Nikola Jokic
4-star play: CJ McCollum, Jonas Valanciunas, Trey Murphy, Jamal Murray, Michael Porter Jr., Aaron Gordon
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Herb Jones, Bruce Brown, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
