Welcome to another year of the DFS Army NBA Full Court Press! Members had a ton of success using the Full Court Press along with various articles and tools that DFS Army provides last season, so we are glad to be back with another year of the all-inclusive article. You have to start your research somewhere, and oftentimes going game by game and breaking down every matchup and its key players is the first step in our process. My name is Mike aka @MadnessDFS on Twitter, make sure to give me a follow as I’ll occasionally make updates to the advice in the article. But, you’ll mostly find me in our VIP coaching forums where I provide detailed lineup maneuvers and answer all lineup questions. With that said, let’s get it started!

Philadelphia 76ers @ Toronto Raptors

Vegas Total: 213.5

Vegas Spread: Phi -3.0

We’ll kick this slate kicked off with the Sixers who got news yesterday that Joel Embiid has a torn ligament in his right thumb, but sounds like he’s going to play through it. I don’t think it’s massive news in terms of what we do with him in DFS, but definitely keep an eye on how well he plays through it, he’ll look like a good option again here. James Harden has had a fairly up and down series, but more bad than good and will be a guy I have no issue going right back to here, especially if that thumb for Embiid does impact his game at all. Tyrese Maxey and Tobias Harris have both played well in this series as well, they’re getting more open looks as the Raptors look to double Embiid every chance they get. They’ll look like solid secondary options here in all formats due to the minutes they’ll play. Danny Green will continue to play all the minutes he can handle and has at least 23 DraftKings points in back-to-back games. He’s not a guy I ever want to go too crazy on but will be in play as a value option tonight. From the Raptors, Scottie Barnes comes into this one as doubtful, so the Raptors will look to avoid elimination without him again here. I’m going to be heavy on Pascal Siakam and Fred VanVleet as they’ll need to carry this team if they stand any shot at getting to game five. Both will play heavy minutes and will be guys I get to in all formats. OG Anunoby has been in good form with at least 32 DraftKings points in three straight games and has a 22% usage rate with 0.91 fantasy points per minute with Barnes off of the court this season. Gary Trent was able to play 45 minutes in game three which makes it pretty clear he’s over whatever illness he was fighting, he’ll look like a great option again here as well. Then we can round out this team with Precious Achiuwa and Chris Boucher as tournament options. I’ll be much more likely to get to Achiuwa and Boucher being more of an MME-type play.

5-star play: Joel Embiid, Fred VanVleet, Pascal Siakam

4-star play: James Harden, Tobias Harris, Tyrese Maxey, OG Anunoby, Gary Trent

Deeper Value: Danny Green, Chris Boucher

GPP Sleeper: Danny Green, Precious Achiuwa, Chris Boucher

Quick shoutout to VIP member “Cenzamatic” on a massive $20k win earlier in the season! Sometimes paying up for double studs works, and Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Durant brought it home for him with the help of some Stanley Johnson and Pistons value. Good work and congrats man!

Dallas Mavericks @ Utah Jazz

Vegas Total: 212.0

Vegas Spread: Utah -5.5

We’ll start this game off with the Mavs who will go into Utah in hopes to extend their lead to 3-1 and potentially get Luka Doncic back. Doncic comes in as questionable and will likely come down to being a game-time decision. I’m going to operate under the assumption that he’s out, but keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed for updates surrounding him. Jalen Brunson has been unreal this series and has a 30.4% usage rate with 1.18 fantasy points per minute with Luka off of the court over the past four weeks. Spencer Dinwiddie is right there with Brunson as an elite option tonight as he has a 30.9% usage rate and 1.07 fantasy points per minute with Luka off of the court in the same time frame. Outside of these two, this team can get pretty fringy. I have no issue with guys like Dorian Finney-Smith and Maxi Kleber as secondary options and have both shown the ability to put up big games as of late, but neither are priorities by any means. You can add Reggie Bullock into that category of filler pieces to round out this team. From Utah, Donovan Mitchell has at least 42 FanDuel points in each game of this series and will look like a strong option as Utah looks to tie this series up. Rudy Gobert can’t seem to put together the big game in this series, he has the big rebounding games in the first two and then the bigger scoring game last time out, but has yet to put the two together. Dallas is not a good rebounding team, so I like the floor he gives you in all formats. Then I’ll have no issue going right back to guys like Bojan Bogdanovic and Mike Conley who are both coming off of nice games last time out. They’ll both continue to play all the minutes they can handle. We can round this team out with guys like Jordan Clarkson and Royce O’Neale in tournaments, Clarkson is the better per minute guy but O’Neale will play more minutes.

5-star play: Jalen Brunson, Spencer Dinwiddie, Donovan Mitchell

4-star play: Dorian Finney-Smith, Reggie Bullock, Rudy Gobert, Mike Conley, Bojan Bogdanovic

Deeper Value: Royce O’Neale

GPP Sleeper: Maxi Kleber, Davis Bertans, Jordan Clarkson, Royce O’Neale

Boston Celtics @ Brooklyn Nets

Vegas Total: 223.0

Vegas Spread: Bkn -3.0

Starting with the Celtics, it sounds like Robert Williams is going to give it a go here, but will be limited, so I think we can safely fade him until he gets back up to full health. This probably impacts Daniel Theis more than anything, but I don’t know how much we were going to get to him anyway. The price tag on Jayson Tatum is hard to overlook knowing he’s going to play 40+ minutes in a competitive game. He’s averaging 46.3 DraftKings points per game in six games against the Nets this season. Jaylen Brown has looked good over his last couple of games as well and will be someone we can go right back to the well on. Al Horford has looked like he found the fountain of youth and isn’t telling anyone. I don’t expect Williams being back hurts him all that much and will be a guy I go right back to at a nice price tag. Marcus Smart had a down game last time out and saw his price increase a good amount, he’ll be more of a secondary option for me, but the price increase was warranted. Then we can round this team out with Derrick White as a tournament option, his minutes are very volatile, however. From the Nets, they’ll be without Ben Simmons again here but are hoping to get him back on Monday night. Kevin Durant has really struggled to start this series and is shooting pretty bad. The Celtics defense is good and is hyper-focused on him and Kyrie Irving but I still think we can go back to him as the Nets need a win here at home to avoid going down 0-3. Kyrie had a rough game last time out as well, but again, he’s going to play 40+ minutes and this is a must-win game for them. We saw Nicolas Claxton close over Andre Drummond again as well, I will operate under the assumption that we see this again unless they close with Durant at center. Bruce Brown had a massive game last time out and will be a guy we can go right back to as his price went down… he probably won’t be as efficient again here but will play all the minutes he can handle. Seth Curry and Goran Dragic both bounced back nicely as well and are solid filler pieces to round out your rosters.

5-star play: Jayson Tatum, Kevin Durant

4-star play: Jaylen Brown, Al Horford, Marcus Smart, Kyrie Irving, Nicolas Claxton, Bruce Brown

Deeper Value: Seth Curry, Goran Dragic

GPP Sleeper: Derrick White, Andre Drummond, Seth Curry, Goran Dragic

Memphis Grizzlies @ Minnesota Timberwolves

Vegas Total: 232.5

Vegas Spread: Mem -3.0

Starting with the Grizzlies, Ja Morant has at least 51 DraftKings points in each game of this series and under $10k will be a guy I look to get to again here. We saw Memphis switch up their starting lineup last game by taking Steven Adams out of the rotation. I would expect we see the same thing here with Jaren Jackson Jr. starting at the five and seeing more minutes for guys like Brandon Clarke and Xavier Tillman. I’m expecting Clarke gets a start here as well as he started over Kyle Anderson to start the second half last time out. I’ll have interest in all three of these guys at their relative price tags and think Tillman gives us a sneaky value option again here. The price tags on Dillon Brooks and Desmond Bane look about right here and should be solid secondary options on the wing. From the Wolves, Karl-Anthony Towns was brutal last time out and will need to be much more aggressive if the Wolves want to pull off this upset. I have no problem going back to him here as a fantasy option with that said. Anthony Edwards has cooled off since the opener of this series but his price has come down as well and will be a guy I go back to. D’Angelo Russell finally had a nice game in game three and will look like a nice option again here, he’s averaging 41.1 DraftKings points per game in seven games against the Grizzlies this season. We know Patrick Beverley is going to bring the intensity and will play all the minutes he can handle. He’s been right around this price tag all season long and hasn’t been shy about paying it off, he’ll look like a nice mid-range option after a nice performance last time out. Jarred Vanderbilt hasn’t been as productive as we’d like but had a massive game relative to his price tag last time out. He’ll look like a great value option again here, but if people are going to chase him and he’s massively owned I think we can pivot and get different. Then we can round this team out with Malik Beasley and Jaden McDaniels as guys who are getting good minutes and performing well, they’ll both look like nice options at their respective price tags. From the

5-star play: Ja Morant, Brandon Clarke, Karl-Anthony Towns

4-star play: Jaren Jackson Jr., Dillon Brooks, Desmond Bane, Anthony Edwards, D’Angelo Russell

Deeper Value: Xavier Tillman, Jarred Vanderbilt, Jaden McDaniels

GPP Sleeper: Kyle Anderson, Xavier Tillman, Malik Beasley, Jaden McDaniels

NBA Lock of the Day: Brandon Clarke (DK – $5.0k; FD – $5.5k)

I’m expecting another starting lineup change for the Grizzlies and think Clarke gets the start for them as he did in the second half of game 3. He’s extremely productive when he gets the minutes and has an 18.2% usage rate and 1.17 fantasy points per minute with Adams off of the court this season. I love the matchup as well, as we continue to target big men against this Wolves frontcourt. At this point in the day, I would think he makes my core, but check out our VIP Cheat Sheets as we get closer to lock for staff picks on Core plays, 8x locks of the day, and tiers notes as well!
