NFL Top Onslaught Stacks for Fanduel and Draftkings Week 9

Welcome back to the NFL TOP ONSLAUGHT STACKS article here at DFS Army. Each week I will dive into a few teams that I think will be some of the best stacks of the week. My goal here will be to narrow down the list of teams I feel we can use and gain an edge vs the field in Large Field Tournaments. Lesser versions of these stacks can easily be used in single entry tourneys, small league play, and even hybrid lineups in head-to-head competitions as well. My hope is that we can have the same success here, with the NFL TOP STACKS article, that we had all season in MLB with the MLB TOP STACKS article.

If you have any questions hit me up in the DFS Army VIP chat shoot me a DM @CeeGee and we can chat one-on-one about your process.  If you prefer, I’m also easy to find on Twitter.

I appreciate you taking time out of your day to check out the article 🤟❤💯

What Is an “Onslaught Stack?”

If you have read our tournament strategy pieces this year, NFL Shark Autopsy Report and NFL Showdown Breakdown, you are already aware that we have reverse-engineered the Milly Maker and many of the single-game Showdowns going back several years in search of winning trends. If you haven’t read these two articles, I highly suggest you check them out.

A few interesting tidbits stood out in our research.

  • Game Stacking Mattered – any combination of a QB with his same team, then coupled with a skill player on the opposing team
  • Casual Players Don’t Stack Enough – Most of us know about stacking a QB/WR combo, but people still aren’t doing it frequently enough across all entries of tournament play.  We still have a leveraged edge by using even a small stack of some sort.
  • Secondary Stacks Yield Even Better Finishes – The common combo of QB/WR + Opposing WR can be coupled with a completely different game stack, or secondary stack, from a different game altogether. Perhaps the second game’s RB on the favored team + WR on the underdog.  Secondary stacks serve to differentiate your lineup further while still focusing on correlation and leveraging fantasy production.

When it comes to stacking your lineups, we also found a lot of room to exploit the competition by going WAY Overboard.  We don’t need to simply use a QB/WR combo + an opposing WR.  We can ramp it up more!  QB/WR/TE + opposing WR/WR is an example of a 3+2 “onslaught stack.”  We can run 4+2, or 2+2, or even 3+1… literally anything that has more than 3 total players from a game can be called an “Onslaught Stack.”  And, these onslaughts are proving to capitalize on extreme leverage.  The casual and even intermediate player just doesn’t go that overboard in games that will possibly shoot out on both sides.  THIS IS OUR EDGE!!!  When people back off, we step on the gas!

Caveat – Now, onslaughts still don’t pan out with great frequency.  You are simply taking advantage of the times they do pan out.  You have the uniqueness and access to the points that drive you well into the top 0.1% of the payouts (where the money starts to happen).  The goal is not to finish with a 2x or 3x multiplier to our money.  The goal is to finish with 20x or 100x or more.  Onslaughts definitely do that for you.  But, they still shouldn’t be 50% of what you do in your MME or multi-entering structures.  Keep it toned down some.  But, plan to use them at least some when opportunity arises.

🇺🇸 Operation Onslaught NFL Top Stacks Week 9 🇺🇸

Bucs @ Seahawks – 52.5 total

This game has the highest total on the board today so it’s no surprise that we’re going to want to target it with our Onslaught Stacks here in Week 9. Some people may have simple pairings like Russell Wilson + Tyler Lockett with a Mike Evans bring back, which is fine, but, if we truly want to separate ourselves we should look to go HEAVY in our stacks. If this game truly does reach that total, we want several pieces of the pie. I’ll have mostly 3 man + 2 man bring backs of this game this weekend.

The Bucs rank 9th in the league averaging 271 passing yards per game, while the Seahawks rank 13th passing for 252 yards per game. On the Defensive side however, the Bucs rank 2nd to last in the league, giving up 285 pass yards per game and the Seahwks rank 6th worst allowing 273 pass yards per game.

These two bad pass defenses facing each other should lead to plenty of touchdowns this weekend, and it makes perfect sense why this game has a 52.5 total.

1) SEA3-TB2
SEA: Wilson, Metcalf, Lockett
TB: bring back with Evans, Godwin
— total cost $34.8k

2) TB3-SEA2
TB: Winston, Evans, Godwin
SEA: bring back with Lockett, Metcalf
— total cost $33.8k

These are likely two of the most popular groupings if we’re thinking about 5 man stacking this game. The two most obvious pass catchers from both teams with the QB of each team. If we wanted to be a little different we could mix in Jaron Brown or David Moore on the Seattle side.

ONE MILLION DOLLARS!!!

In Week 3, we had our 1st ever DFS Army $1,000,000 winner!!! Long-time DFS Army member Bobbywow1 aka BClinks took down the Fanduel Million. He credited Kevin’s Coaches Notes along with Cash Keg’s notes and the NFL Domination Station lineup optimizer in the one-on-one interview below. Make sure you check out the one-on-one interview and see exactly how he landed on his Giants + Bucs ONSLAUGHT STACK!!!

dfs nfl

Lions @ Raiders – 50.5 total

The Lions enter Week 9 allowing the most passing yards per game at 289. The Raiders are doing their best to catch them sitting 3rd worst allowing 285 passing yards per game. This game has all the making of a back and forth air raid from the opening coin flip.

The Raiders have allowed 19 passing touchdowns this season, good enough for 2nd worst in the entire NFL. Most will look to stack up the Lions against them but surely we can get some value on the other side of this game as well, with Derrick Carr and his crew.

1) OAK3-DET2
OAK: Carr, Williams, Waller
DET: bring back with Jones, Golladay
— total cost $31.4k

2) DET3-OAK2
DET: Stafford, Jones, Golladay
OAK: Williams, Waller
— total cost $32.7k

Mixing in players like Danny Amendola and TJ Hockenson are good ways to get away from the obvious stacks. They are both in play here as well if you’re stacking the Lions side and They will likely be lower owned than Jones and Golladay. On the Raiders side, Hunter Renfrow is worth a deep GPP dart throw if you’re stacking this game.

Others I like as Large Field GPP Plays

Browns @ Broncos

Low total here, but, there is no denying the talent the Browns have on the Offensive side of the ball. Nick Chubb, Odell Beckham, and Jarvis Landry make up most of the Offensive yardage this team gains each week. If we stack all 3 and bring it back with Courtland Sutton and Noah Fant we could get a very sneaky game stack with some solid upside. The Browns Offense has been bad, but, I’ll bet on talent here and hope for a breakout game against Denver.

CLE4-DEN2
CLE: Mayfield, Chubb, Bekcham, Landry
DEN: bring back with Sutton, Fant
– total cost $32.3k

Jets @ Dolphins

Nobody talking about this one, for obvious reasons, both teams are pretty bad overall. That’s good for us though as we can cherry-pick some low owned stack options here this weekend. The Jets allow the 9th most passing yards per game in the league, 262 while the Dolphins rank 13th giving up 253. Sam Darnold and Ryan Fitzpatrick may not be your models of Consistency but we’ve seen them break out for big games in the past, and, I wouldn’t be shocked by either of them putting up a big score here this weekend.

Let’s Get Silly in the Milly!!! – Jets vs Dolphins YOLO Game Stack!!!

1) NYJ4-MIA2
NYJ: Darnold, Bell, Crowder, Anderson
MIA: Williams, Parker
— total cost $33.0k

2) MIA3-NYJ2
MIA: Fitzpatrick, Williams, Parker
NYJ: Crowder, Anderson
— total cost $33,500

If you wanna win the Milly Maker you’ve got to do what may seem CRAZY sometimes. This stack probably won’t work out and this game could easily be a snooze fest. But, if it does work out you’ll find yourself shooting up the leaderboards because NOBODY will stack up this game.

That’s all I’ve got for today 🤟❤💯
