Welcome to the DFS Army NBA Free Squares article, where I will try to break down my favorite NBA Free Squares and Fanduel and Draftkings for Today’s NBA slate.
So what is a Free Square exactly? In NBA DFS there will be situations that come up that will lead to bench players getting more minutes. Some may even enter the starting lineup. The low cost of these players will allow us to spend up across the rest of our lineups. Which gives us the ability to lock in some high dollar studs.
Sometimes, we’ll get situations where higher dollar players will be basically “Free Squares” based on the other players on the slate and other situations. Regardless of the specific situation, I’ll do my best to point you in the right direction each night to start your lineup builds.

My NBA Free Squares for Today October 25th
💥 Kings
Marvin Bagley is out for 4-6 weeks with an injured thumb. With that news, we should expect Nemanja Bjelica to slide into the starting lineup and get a solid minutes bump, for a few games at least. The Kings could use Harrison Barnes more at PF as well, but, I think Bjelica will get the first crack at starting in place of Bagley here. Bjelica put up some big games last year and one of them was against the Blazers on News Year’s day where he scored 37.2 fantasy points (Fanduel). Obviously, we shouldn’t expect him to put up monster numbers like Bagley is capable of, but, he’s only priced at $3.7k on Fanduel and $3.6k on Draftkings. He should be a solid value option on this 9 game slate.
Others I really like with Bagley out – De’Aaron Fox, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Richaun Holmes
NOTE – Buddy Heild is currently questionable, so, keep an eye on that news. If he’s out along with Bagley, I really like Fox and Bogdanovic.
💥 Daniel Theis
Enes Kanter has been ruled out for the Celtics tonight, so, Daniel Theis should enter the starting lineup. Theis is min price on both Fanduel and Draftkings and he really opens things up for the rest of your roster tonight. I’m not expecting a 30 point fantasy game from him, but, at min price, I think he can get to 7x value tonight given the minutes’ increase.
Robert Williams is in the same situation and will see extra run with Kanter out. I prefer Theis over Williams but I’ll have Williams in some GPP lineups for sure.

💥 Aaron Baynes
De’Andre Ayton has been suspended for 25 games so it looks like Baynes will get the first shot at replacing him in the starting lineup. Baynes flashed 30+ fantasy point upside last year in a few games in Boston when he got extended minutes, but, I’m not really expecting that here tonight vs Denver. The matchup is not great vs Jokic, but, the Suns are going to need him to do what he can to try and slow Jokic down. The backup Center is Frank Kaminsky, and, defensively Baynes is a much better option vs Jokic tonight. I’m expecting Baynes to get around 24-28 minutes tonight and if he can stay out of foul trouble he could pay off 7x his min salary pretty easily.
Frank Kaminsky is fine as well and he’s going to pop in most optimizers tonight. Honestly, though, Kaminsky vs Jokic is such a mismatch it terrifies me tonight. I’ll be underweight vs the field here
