Welcome to the DFS Army NBA Free Squares article, where I will try to break down my favorite NBA Free Squares and Fanduel and Draftkings for Today’s NBA Slate.
So what is a Free Square exactly? In NBA DFS there will be situations that come up that will lead to bench players getting more minutes. Some may even enter the starting lineup. The low cost of these players will allow us to spend up across the rest of our lineups. Wich gives us the ability to lock in some high dollar studs.
NBA Free Squares for Today February 25th
💥 HOU – PG – Chris Paul – $8,400
This is a price play for me here on Fanduel tonight. CP3 is priced at only $8,400 and gets one of the best matchups in the NBA vs the Atlanta Hawks. Even with James Harden playing, I still love CP3 here tonight. Over his last 5 games he has averaged 34 minutes and 47.1 fantasy points per game. In his last 2 games, he has scored 53.5 and 55.5 fantasy points so he’s on a tear right now. On the season the Atlanta Hawks have played at a 107 pace and have a 111 team defensive efficiency rating and allow 13% more Fantasy Points to Point Guards than the league aveage. I’ll be loading up on Cp3 tonight!!!
💥 SAC – PF – Marvin Bagley – $7,400
Bagles has been on FIRE recently. Over his last 5 games he has averaged 29 minutes and 34.1 fantasy points per game. He has scored over 45.8 fantasy points in 3 of his last 4 games. The matchup tonight vs the T’Wolves is a good one as they have allowed 2% more fantasy points to power forwards than the league average this season while maintaining an awful 109 team defensive efficiency rating. The young Kings have been playing really well recently and I love Bagley as a core gpp play in this spot here tonight.

💥 MIL – PG – Eric Bledsoe $6,900
With Giannis Antetkounmpo off the floor, Eric Bledsoe is 2nd on the team with a 28.5% usage rate which is +5.3% from his normal rate. Also with Giannis off the floor he averages +14.05 more fantasy points per 36 minutes. He’s in a great spot here tonight vs the Chicago Bulls who have a 110 Defensive Efficiency Rating and allow 3% more fantasy points to point guards than the league average. Bledsoe has had a few clunkers recently scoring only 8.1 and 5.9 fantasy points in 2 of his last 3 games so I’m hoping he’ll go a little overlooked tonight. I doubt he will however, but that wont scare me away from rostering him here.
Khris Middleton is in the exact same situation as Bledsoe with a 30% usage rate (+5.4%) with Giannis off the floor. These are 2 of my favorite plays on the slate and I’ll be build most of my lineups around them this evening.

💥 HOU – PF – Kenneth Faried $6,600
It sounds strange to say but Kenneth Faried has been one of the most consistent fantasy players in the league since joining the Houston Rockets. Over his last 5 games he has averaged 29 minutes and 31.4 fantasy points per game. He has scored over 30 fantasy points in 11 of his last 13 games and should have another 30+ game here tonight. The Rockets get a matchup vs the Hawks who are one of the worst Defensive Teams in the NBA. On the Season they have played at a 107 pace and have a 111 defensive efficiecny rating and allow 10% more fantasy points to power forwards tonight. I’ll be loading up on Faried tonight in GPPs as I feel like has big time upside in this spot.
AND 1 Top 3’s today

James Harden has the #1 AND1 Rating tonight of 32.8 in his matchup vs the Hawks today. On the Season the Hawks have played at a 107 Pace and have a 111 Team Defensive Efficiency Rating. They also allow 13% more Fantasy Points to Shooting Guards than the League Average. Harden should continue his run towards a 2nd straight league MVP tonight in this matchup.
