Welcome to the DFS Army NBA Free Squares article where I will try to break down my favorite NBA Free Squares and Fanduel and Draftkings for Today’s NBA Slate.
So what is a Free Square exactly? In NBA DFS there will be situations that come up that will lead to bench players getting more minutes. Some may even enter the starting lineup. These players will often be priced as backups (their normal role). The increase in their minutes and role will give us someone we can plug into our lineups and expect them to reach or exceed value. The low cost of these players will allow us to spend up across the rest of our lineups. Wich gives us the ability to lock in some high dollar studs.

My Favorite NBA Free Squares for Today – November 5th
We have a great 9 game Monday slate to kick off the week tonight. One game jumps off the page tonight and its the Thunder vs the Pelicans with a 238 implied total. Every other game has a total over 206.50 and every team on the slate has an implied total of over 102. It should be a fun high scoring night.
💥 Russell Westbrook – OKC – PG $12,000
I don’t like writing up the superstars in this article usually, but, this spot for Westbrook tonight is just too good to ignore. You cash games start here tonight in my opinion. The game has a 238 total and the Thunder are projected to score 8.7 more points than their season average tonight (120.8 – 112.1). This Season the Pelicans are allowing 27% more fantasy points to Point Gaurds than the rest of the NBA. In their last 3 games they have allowed 37.1 to Patty Mills, 53.9 to Steph Curry and 47 to Jamal Murray. They have an overall defensive efficiency rating of 112 (100 is league avg). Westbrook has averaged 56.9 fantasy points in his last 3 games vs the Pelicans. He also has the highest AND1 rating of the entire season at 25.9. Start your cash lineups with Russ this evening.
💥 Anthony Davis – NOP – PF – $11,800
As I mentioned above, this game has the highest implied total of the night, sitting at 238. Obviously you’re going to want to get some exposure to this game. Anthony Davis has averaged 57.7 fantasy points per game in his last 3 games against the Thunder. While the matchup is not great on paper the Thunder play at the 6th fastest pace in the NBA. There should be plenty of opportunities for Davis to rack up fantasy points this evening. He’s a slightly better play on Fanduel than he is on Draftkings tonight.
💥 GPP Pivots?
Westbrook and Davis will probably be the two highest owned STUDS of the night. Some high priced Pivots you could make in GPP’s are James Harden, Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard, Paul George and Nikola Jokic. Some great mid priced options that will probably be lower owned as well because of the near min priced value. Mike Conley, Ricky Rubio, Jrue Holiday, Zach Lavine, Nikola Mirotic, Josh Richardson, Tobias Harris, Aaron Gordon, Clint Capela and Steven Adams are all great plays tonight.

💥 Bam Adebayo – MIA – C – $3,800
Hasssan Whiteside is out tonight, so, EVERYONE is going to jam BAM BAM into their lineups this evening. He is priced only $300 above min price and should now play around 25 minutes tonight vs the Pistons. This season BAM has scored 0.95 fantasy points per minute with Whiteside off the court. If we look back at last season, we can see he scored 0.89 fantasy points per minute without Whiteside on the court. He’ll be extrememly popular today in Cash games and Tournements but he should easily pay off his near min price on Fanduel.
💥 Kyler Anderson – MEM – SF – $4,500
The Grizzlies get the biggest Pace Up matchup on the slate tonight as they take on the Warriors in Oakland. The game probably wont stay close but we don’t really need to worry about that with Anderson. He’s going to play 28-30 minutes regardless of the game situation. He doesn’t score a lot of real points but he can rack up fantasy points in several different ways. Against the fast paced Warriors he’s going to be one of the Top value options on the slate this evening.
