Welcome to the DFS Army NBA Free Squares article where I will try to break down my favorite NBA Free Squares and Fanduel and Draftkings for Today’s NBA Slate.
So what is a Free Square exactly? In NBA DFS there will be situations that come up that will lead to bench players getting more minutes. Some may even enter the starting lineup. The increase in their minutes and role will give us someone we can plug into our lineups and expect them to reach or exceed value. The low cost of these players will allow us to spend up across the rest of our lineups. Wich gives us the ability to lock in some high dollar studs.

Landmines from some normally consistent guys last night. Evan Turner and Enes Kanter didn’t show up like we had hoped. Ilyasova only played 8 minutes last night for some reason. Thankfully Giannis did his thing and McGruder was solid for us as well.
My Favorite NBA Free Squares for Today – November 17th
💥 Toronto Raptors – Kyle Lowry, Serge Ibaka, Pascal Siakam
The Raptors are on the 2nd leg of a back to back tonight. Kawi Leonard has not played the 2nd game of a back to back yet this season so we’re expecting him to sit this one out. Toronto is already missing CJ Miles and Norman Powell and we’re not sure about OG Anunoboy tonight who injured himself last game. Kyle Lowry, Serge Ibaka and Pascal Siakam should be the primary benificiaries tonight. Kyle Lowry has a +6% usage increase without Kawi while Serge Ibaka has a 4.1% usage increase. Pascal Siakam averages around 1.41 fantasy points per minute when Leonard, Miles, Powell and Anunoboy are off the court.
Secondary Raptors players that would likely see increased minutes and shot opportunities would be Fred VanVleet $4.3k, Danny Green $4.2k, and Delon Wright $3.6k are all solid value plays tonight vs the Chicago Bulls.
💥 Lonzo Ball – LAL – PG – $5,600
Let the LE’BRONZO ERA BEGIN!!! Rajon Rondo is going to be out 4-5 weeks with a broken hand. When Rondo was suspended earlier this season Lonzo averaged around 30 minutes per game for the Lakers. He’s only priced at $5,600 and he averages 34 fantasy points per 36 minutes this season with Rondo off the court. He is simply way to cheap for someone expected to play 30 minutes in this high tempo Offense.

💥 Jonas Jerebko – GSW – PF – $3,900
With Draymond Green out again tonight Jerebko should see another 25 minutes or on the court tonight vs the Mavericks. He’s not a sexy pick and he doesn’t have a ton of upside but he did just put up 14 points and 13 rebounds vs the Hawks the other day. He’s a cheap drop score play that shouldn’t kill you this evening.
💥 Tyreke Evans – IND – SF – $4,200
Evans exploded last night for 40 fantasy points against the Miami Heat. We just got some news about Victor Oladipo and his sore knee so he may be limited or even miss tonight’s game against the Hawks. Evans would be one of the best value plays on the Slate if Oladipo misses the game tonight. The Hawks have the worst defense in the NBA this season and our Adjusted DVP numbers rank them 29th against small forwards. If Oladipo plays Evans would be more of a GPP dart throw with big boom or bust potential tonight.

💥 Dennis Schroder / Steven Adams – OKC – SG/C – $8,200/$8,200
Paul George gets the biggest usage increase when Russell Westbrook is out but I’m not sure I wanna pay all the way up to him tonight. I love the combo of Schroder and Adams tonight vs the Suns however. This season with Westbrook off the floor Schroder has a +2.5% usage increase and Steven Adams has a +2.4% usage increase. Tonight they get a matchup against the Suns who rank near the bottom of the league in our Adjusted DVP metric vs SG 28th and vs Center dead last 30th. Fire up Schroder and Adams tonight in a great matchup with some extra usage without Westbrook.
