Mr. Bear’s NBA DFS Preseason Slate Breakdown Fanduel Draftkings Advice Strategy

NBA DFS is back! Hi, everyone. My name is Shai and I go by Mr. Bear. I am one of the NBA coaches here at the DFS Army and set to bring you another year of simply dominating the DFS landscape. You can find me on Twitter at @mrbearhere. If you want to sign up with us to get all of our content, VIP articles, Domination Station optimizer (with it’s insane track record) and access to all of our coaches, use coupon code “BEAR” at checkout to knock another 10% off your normal premium investment.  Obviously, I’m only showing you the tip of the iceberg.  Any late day news and appropriate pivots will be given to our VIPs in our coaching channels (which is our real edge in DFS NBA).

First off, it’s preseason (PS). Take note that you will not know set minutes for most players and will get some late scratches. This means play lightly until the season kicks off on October 16th.

See our Domination Station Tutorial for NBA

Tonight we have a six-game PS Slate and it’s looking pretty juicy. Let’s start with the info  I am most excited about…the Orlando Magic. Head Coach Steve Clifford said he will play his starters 30-32 minutes. That’s PS gold in DFS. DJ Augustin is where you can likely find the least ownership from the Magic starters and is good for GPPs. On the other side of that game, we have the Miami Heat. Last season, opposing big men DOMINATED the Magic and this bodes well for Hassan Whiteside. He’s still in the really good graces of coach Spo and will be in a lot of my LUs tonight. J Rich returns tonight and I am eager to see him play. I will have little J Rich in my LUs until I see what shape he’s in and the SF position is stacked. Winslow should be plenty of minutes if J Rich struggles to get his wind.

Pacers @ Cavs

Cavs host the Pacers tonight. The Cavs are without Kevin Love again and I will be playing a ton of Larry Nance. The Pacers have struggled against athletic bigs for years and I don’t see that changing much. I LOVE Cedi Osman here…Pacers struggle against the SF and he’s been playing at a high level all PS. For a lower owned pivot off of Nance look at Zizic. He played 22 minutes last game and can really do some damage vs Indy’s big men. The Pacers are without Corey Joseph and Thad Young. Sumner and Tyreke Evans are both questionable (I will provide pivots and who gets bumps for these guys in Slack once the news is released). I will have plenty of Dipo in my LUs at the Cavs won’t be able to guard him. TJ Leaf gets another start and should see 25-30 minutes. With CoJo sitting look for Aaron Holiday to play backup minutes. He can put up a ton of points in a short period of time and should see next to no ownership. Sabonis has been an absolute MONSTER and will continue to do so at high ownership.

Wizards @ Knicks

The Wizards are in NYC to face the Knicks. The Wiz will be without Dwight Howard again. Ian Mahinmi is min price (FD) and very much in play. Frankly, I like all the Wizards here. Scott Brooks has asked them to shoot more three’s and that bodes well for Beal and Otto Porter. For the Knicks its Knox, THJ, Trier and Enes KantGOD.

Bulls @ Hornets

Bulls face off against the Hornets in Charlotte tonight. We are awaiting news on whether or not LaVine plays. I will have pivots if he doesn’t in our slack. Bulls say that Dunn has impressed the entire coaching staff during training camp and I look for him to continue that in games. The Hornets haven’t played since last Tuesday, October 2nd and should have plenty of fresh legs. Kemba certainly in play and I am going right back to Miles Bridges here. He plays close to 30 minutes and is eager to prove he belongs and faces a team not very good at defending bigs. Lamb will also get the minutes (starting) and is in play for me. The Hornets are being very cautious with Cody Zeller and are strictly monitoring his minutes. This bodes well for Willy Hernangomez. He puts up double-doubles like he works at In-Out-Burger.

Nets @ Pistons

Nets Pistons should be fun. Both Blake Griffin and Reggie Jackson make their PS debuts. They will both be on a minutes restriction. I will have plenty of Drummond here since Blake won’t get his full allotment of minutes. Stanley Johnson has had a stellar PS and should feast on the Nets defense. For the Nets its Russell, LeVert, and Dinwiddie. I don’t mind Allen but I like too many other Centers to play much of him. Look for Ed Davis to get some run defending big Drummond.

Suns @ Warriors

The Suns head to Oracle to face the Warriors. The Warriors are still with out Draymond Green. I really like this game for a game stack. Steph, KD, Josh Jackson, Klay, Ayton, Ariza are all high on my list. The pace in this game is what we want to target in NBA DFS. You can even go with Canaan who played 32 minutes last game!

You are going to want our late-breaking news and real-time pivots as the season goes.  We can be faster through our coaching channels than Twitter when it comes to getting you over to the viable options while the industry only complains that they burned money yet again.

We have been very successful in NBA at DFS Army and, if new to us, you might want to take some time to cruise through our Wall of Wins to see the sick prizes our VIPs have taken down the past couple seasons.  That’s all for today. Feel free to ask questions in my channel #the-bear-cave-nba in our coaching channels!  I hope to see you at the top of the leaderboards tonight.
