Boomer’s Baller’s – Daily Fantasy NBA – 2/27/2016

 

I apologize for the delay, Saturday’s around the Hall House can be a little hectic. We have a lot to cover for today and this should be a fantastic slate! Capped off with the game of the night with the Golden Girls coming to Loud City tonight to take on the Thunder! This was a great game into the final minutes of the fourth quarter the last game and tonight should be no different!

We’re going to make this quick!

PG – Jrue Holiday

Holiday has been performing well off the bench.  That’s about the only part that sucks about playing him in DFS right now.  If he was getting a consistent 35 to 40 minutes a night, we would be talking about him in the range of Isaiah Thomas.  Jrue is going to be a great pivot off of the Big 2 tonight in any format, and the one thing you are going to have to live with is that he could only play 28 minutes tonight.  Oh, I forgot to mention, last time he played Minnesota, in 28 minutes, he dropped a 50 burger on them.  Ya, I would say that Holiday is a great play tonight.

 

SG – Klay Thompson

I’ve been screaming this all year long.  TARGET 3 POINT SHOOTERS AGAINST THE THUNDER!  Granted, now that Andre Roberson is back, it’s not quite the same as playing against Dion Waiters, but hey, it’s not like ‘Dre is Jimmy Butler.  This is a great way to get cheaper exposure to the Golden Girls tonight.

 

SF – Gordan Hayward

Ok, I know.  Not the sexiest pic out there.  Hayward isn’t Durant, or Kawhi, or even Giannis.  Hayward get’s to play the Brooklyn Nets, though.  Get this, the Jazz is 11 point favorites tonight.  For tournaments, he’s going to be lower owned, and he’s about as consistent as they come.

 

PF – Gorgui Dieng

Dieng is a great pivot tonight off of Anthony Davis and Draymond Green.  Since being inserted into the starting lineup, he’s worked extremely well with Karl-Anthony Towns.  He’s getting the minutes, and since we’re going to need to find guys mid-range and value wise tonight, Dieng is a great place to start.

 

C – Karl-Anthony Towns

It’s not often I put two players on the same team in the starting 5.  I just believe they have that good of a matchup tonight in the second highest total on the slate.  Towns and Dieng should be able to dominate the Pelican’s front court throughout the game tonight.  We all know that Brow doesn’t like to “bang with the big boys” because he’s afraid of getting hurt, so why not take advantage of it?

 

Stud – Stephen Curry, Russell Westbrook, Kevin Durant

Ding Ding Ding!!! Round 2…….FIGHT!  This is a heavyweight match tonight!  They are all in great spots and should all have fantastic games.  As long as one of them doesn’t go for 70+, you can’t go wrong with any of them.

Fade – James Harden

 

Welcome to Harden vs. Spurs day….Part 3-2016.  Look, I don’t think I need to really tell you WHY you’re doing this, but I will.  Greg Popovich is the Bill Belichick of the NBA.  His one job tonight.  Stop James Harden.  The Beard would have to be about 6k tonight in order for me to think about playing him.

Value – Mason Plumlee

Well, since we can’t attack the Boston Celtics front court tonight, we’re going to attack the Chicago Bulls instead.  I really like both Center’s in this game, but unfortunately, Pau Gasol isn’t a value tonight.  I think with everyone climbing on the Brandan Wright train, Plumlee is a great cheap center option to fit in our studs.

GPP – Ricky Rubio

So a lot of plays could be considered GPP plays tonight.  Considering I expect every PG not named Russ or Steph to be under 15% owned in tournaments.  Maybe Mike Conley.  Rubio has legit triple double potential and is going to need to have a great game in order for the Timberwolves to have a chance.  It won’t be a massive scoring night for him points wise, but with his ability to get you the secondary stats we are looking for, we just need him to score 12 – 15.
