Starting with the Sixers, Joel Embiid is gonna be in a great spot here, as the Hornets are bleeding FPs to opposing C’s over their last 7 games at over 60 FPs per game, he’ll be an elite play tonight. Tobias Harris missed last game, but I would assume he’s back here after missing with an illness, he has an elite matchup here as well at the 4 as the Hornets aren’t much better against PFs. If he were to miss, then Tyrese Maxey and Georges Niang would be the biggest beneficiaries, Maxey is in play either way but he would get a nice boost. Shake Milton has also been playing much better as of late and he’s a solid value. Seth Curry is a decent value as well, but the issue with playing a lot of Sixers is that this CHA team is going to be very shorthanded so it could get ugly.
The Hornets had to put a few of their guards in the health protocols, the biggest names being LaMelo Ball and Terry Rozier, both with be out again tonight but this will lead to increased usage for other games, namely Kelly Oubre who will see a huge usage increase. Let’s run some numbers with those guys out:
- Ish Smith: 22.3% usage, 0.94 FPPM
- PJ Washington: 18.8% usage, 1.03 FPPM
- Kelly Oubre: 24.4% usage, 1.09 FPPM
- Cody Martin: 16.6% usage, 1.13 FPPM
- Gordon Hayward: 23.3% usage, 1.04 FPPM
- Miles Bridges: 16.6% usage, 1.11 FPPM
All of these guys are in play here with LaMelo and Rozier out.
5-star play: Joel Embiid
4-star play: Tobias Harris, Tyrese Maxey, Kelly Oubre, Gordon Hayward, Miles Bridges, PJ Washington
Deeper Value: Cody Martin, Seth Curry, Shake Milton, Ish Smith
GPP Sleeper: Cody Martin, Ish Smith
Oklahoma City Thunder @ Detroit Pistons
Vegas Total: 206
Vegas Spread: Det -5
Starting with the Thunder, they’re coming off a 73 point blowout the other night, but this game should be a bit more competitive here as their stud Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will be back here after practicing yesterday. Their other young stud Josh Giddey also practiced yesterday so both should be good to go after missing the last game, both have solid matchups against this pretty bad Pistons team. Lu Dort will see his usage go down here with both those guys back, but he is still very much in play here with that ceiling he has in GPPs. Darius Bazley has not been good this year, but draws a decent matchup here against this Pistons frontcourt. Lastly, Kenrich Williams should also see more minutes here and is a deep MME type play if you’re looking to get different.
Now for the Pistons, Cade Cunningham draws an elite matchup here tonight as this OKC team is a dumpster fire defensively. I’ll have a lot of him at this price as he has a legit 45+ FP ceiling in this matchup. Jerami Grant is another guy I love to play in GPPs, and he used to play for this OKC team as well so there could be some spite leftover from those days, he is always under owned. Saddiq Bey is a decent GPP mid-range option, but he is a streaky shooter so he’s not really someone you can rely on. Lastly, Isaiah Stewart should feast inside here as OKC can’t stop a nosebleed, and if he can see north of 30 minutes he should smash that price tag on both sites.
5-star play: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Cade Cunningham
4-star play: Jerami Grant, Isaiah Stewart, Josh Giddey, Lu Dort
Deeper Value: Isaiah Stewart, Darius Bazley, Derrick Favors, Saddiq Bey
GPP Sleeper: Isaiah Stewart

Washington Wizards @ Indiana Pacers
Vegas Total: 211
Vegas Spread: Ind -5.5
Starting with the Wizards, we know that Spencer Dinwiddie will rest tonight, which will cause a nice boost to Bradley Beal’s usage, at under 9K he is a great price on FanDuel in what should be a very fast paced game. Kyle Kuzma will also see a nice usage increase here, and at his price he has a legit 40+ FP upside and should come in pretty low owned. Daniel Gafford has been in elite form over the past week as well but the price has caught up to his production. Montrezl Harrell is still seeing big minutes off the bench but he’s priced right about at value as well. We’ve seen Aaron Holiday draw the start when Dinwiddie is out in the past, he’s a solid value here tonight as is Raul Neto. If you’re looking to get really deep, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is also a decent option with Dinwiddie out.
Now for the Pacers, Malcolm Brogdon has been on a tear the past two weeks, and he draws an excellent matchup tonight as the Wizards are bleeding FPs to opposing PGs over their last 7 days. Domantas Sabonis and Myles Turner also draw great matchups here as the Wizards are bleeding FPs to bigs as well, Sabonis is solid as we know but Myles Turner is gonna be a GPP only play with his volatility. Chris Duarte continues to play well, and doesn’t break the bank on either site. Caris LeVert is also in a good spot here, and his price hasn’t caught up on either site either for some reason, he’s an elite play here as well especially with McConnell out for the next few weeks so he’ll see some more time with the 2nd unit.
5-star play: Bradley Beal, Malcolm Brogdon
4-star play: Caris LeVert, Domantas Sabonis, Kyle Kuzma, Daniel Gafford, Myles Turner
Deeper Value: Chris Duarte, Aaron Holiday, Raul Neto
GPP Sleeper: Caris LeVert, Raul Neto
Memphis Grizzlies @ Miami Heat
Vegas Total: 214
Vegas Spread: Mia -5
Starting with the Grizzlies, with Ja Morant out again here tonight, Tyus Jones will likely start in his place and play big minutes, he did last game and the production has been up the past few games. De’Anthony Melton will also see a nice boost here along with Desmond Bane who has been shooting lights out over the past few games, very underrated GPP play. Jaren Jackson has also been seeing a nice boost in production with Ja out, and he draws a favorable matchup here tonight if Bam is out again, this Miami frontcourt that has been getting torched by opposing bigs with him out. Steven Adams also has a favorable matchup here but the minutes have been spotty for him, he’ll get a boost if Clarke is out. If you want to get deeper as well you can go to Brandon Clarke if he does end up playing here.
Now for the Heat, they’ll be without Jimmy Butler for at least this game, and possibly without Bam Adebayo as well, but I don’t see him on the injury report this morning so he may suit up for this one. Kyle Lowry is gonna be your main beneficiary of Jimmy being out, as he’ll have elite usage along with the likes of Tyler Herro who will also be in a great spot tonight as well as the Grizzlies struggle to defend almost every position. Dewayne Dedmon would see a nice bump here if Bam were to miss again as well, although his priced was adjusted by both sites after that big performance the other night, so not as high on him this evening. Lastly, PJ Tucker is even in play here if Bam were to miss, but he is a deep GPP flier at best as well.
5-star play: Kyle Lowry
4-star play: Bam Adebayo, Jaren Jackson, Tyus Jones, Desmond Bane, Tyler Herro, De’Anthony Melton
Deeper Value: Brandon Clarke, PJ Tucker
GPP Sleeper: Desmond Bane
Denver Nuggets @ Chicago Bulls
Vegas Total: 216
Vegas Spread: Chi -4.5
Starting with the Nuggets, it’ll be the battle of the two Nikola’s here with Jokic going up against Vucevic. Nikola Jokic is obviously an elite play here, as he is the front runner for MVP against right now as he has elite usage and production. Will Barton is their 2nd best option on offense as he runs the point with the 2nd unit at times as well and he’s not overly priced here. Monte Morris has also been picking it up a bit offensively, but the ceiling is never too high with him unless Barton is out. Aaron Gordon’s usage has gone up a bit as well the past few weeks, but he’s never someone I feel confident playing as long as Jokic is healthy. If you’re looking to get really deep, Austin Rivers has seen some decent minutes recently but he is sporadic from a production standpoint but he’ll get some decent minutes with PJ Dozier done for the year.
Now for the Bulls, Nikola Vucevic has a tougher matchup here and is coming off his best week of the season so he’s definitely in play here. Zach LaVine also has a big ceiling in this game as the Nuggets have had a tough time defending guards this year with Murray out. DeMar Derozan is also in play here tonight, and the matchup for him is much better tonight for him as well, he is in a really good spot tonight as well and shouldn’t be too highly owned. Lastly, Alex Caruso is their sparkplug coming off the bench, but he tweaked a hammy a few games ago, so that is something to monitor, if he were to miss it would open up some additional minutes for Ayo Dosunmu who has been seeing an increased role as well.
5-star play: Nikola Jokic
4-star play: Zach LaVine, DeMar Derozan, Will Barton, Aaron Gordon
Deeper Value: Ayo Dosunmu, Monte Morris, Austin Rivers
GPP Sleeper: Ayo Dosunmu, Monte Morris
Cleveland Cavaliers @ Milwaukee Bucks
Vegas Total: 215
Vegas Spread: Mil -6.5
Starting with the Cavs, Darius Garland’s production has skyrocketed with Collin Sexton out, he is a great play here today as well as the Cavs can hang in this game and the Bucks have been struggling to defend the PG position lately. Jarrett Allen is also in an elite spot here, as he has been a double double machine so far this year and he has elite upside against this Bucks frontcourt, especially if Giannis is out. You can play Evan Mobley as well here but his ceiling isn’t as high as Allen’s. Lauri Markkanen is a guy you can go to if you want to get really deep here as well, but his production is gonna be limited as long as Allen and Mobley are healthy. Lastly, Isaac Okoro has a few random huge games every year, he’s a deep MME type play if you want to get frisky.
Now for the Bucks, the big news here obviously is that Giannis Antetokounmpo is a GTD here today, which would shake up the entire slate. Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday would be the main beneficiaries and both have great matchups here, especially Middleton as Markkanen won’t be able to stop him. Grayson Allen has also strung together a few good games in a row here as well but he missed last game so that is something to keep an eye on. If he is out, Pat Connaughton would see a nice boost, but his price is far from desireable on both sites. Outside of those guys, Bobby Portis is also in play here going up against Allen, who we have been picking on for years, he’d be a great play if Giannis were to miss this game.
5-star play: Jarrett Allen, Giannis Antetokounmpo (if in)
4-star play: Khris Middleton, Jrue Holiday, Darius Garland, Evan Mobley, Bobby Portis
Deeper Value: Grayson Allen (if in), Lauri Markkanen, Isaac Okoro
GPP Sleeper: Isaac Okoro
Atlanta Hawks @ Minnesota Timberwolves
Vegas Total: 221.5
Vegas Spread: Min -2.5
Starting with the Hawks, they’re on the 2nd half of a B2B here after playing Charlotte last night and then made the road trip up to Minnesota, so I wouldn’t be shocked if Trae Young were to miss this game as he was GTD last night. But obviously if he does play here he is an elite option against this garbage Minnesota defense. Clint Capela is coming off a disappointing game last night as well in what was a great matchup, but he should be able to redeem himself tonight. John Collins had a monster game last night as well, he is in play at his price point as well. With all the injuries to their 2/3 guards, Timothe Luwawu-Cabbarot has been starting and saw some solid minutes last night and should be in line again if Reddish misses. Danilo Gallinari is also a solid option here coming off the bench as he should see a few additional minutes here. Lastly, Kevin Huerter has been starting and should see big minutes here as well.
Now for the Timberwolves, Karl-Anthony Towns missed last game and is a GTD again here tonight, he is obviously in play if he suits up tonight but if he were to miss then Naz Reid will be a core play in all formats. D’Angelo Russell is the ultimate GPP play as well as he has either a ceiling game or a dud with not much inbetween, GPP only. Anthony Edwards would also see a nice usage boost if KAT were to miss, but he is in play regardless with that ceiling. McDaniels is also out here, which would equal a nice boost for Jarred Vanderbilt, he is coming off his best game of the year as well. Lastly, with Pat Bev out, Malik Beasley will run the 2nd unit, but he is pretty scoring dependent so he’ll be a GPP only play here tonight.
5-star play: Trae Young, Naz Reid (if KAT is out)
4-star play: Clint Capela, John Collins, Anthony Edwards, D’Angelo Russell
Deeper Value: Jarred Vanderbilt, Malik Beasley, Timothe Luwawu-Cabbarot, Danilo Gallinari
GPP Sleeper: Jarred Vanderbilt, Naz Reid
San Antonio Spurs @ Phoenix Suns
Vegas Total: 218
Vegas Spread: Phx -8
Starting with the Spurs, their offense stops and starts with Dejounte Murray as he has been their main source of offense, he has a tougher matchup here going up against CP3 but he has been matchup proof so far this year. Jakob Poeltl is also in a tougher spot here as well going up against Ayton, but his price reflects the matchup. Keldon Johnson‘s price is very tempting as well but he can be very scoring dependent so he’s gonna be GPP only. Devin Vassell has been solid coming off the bench and is a deeper value play, but he has an injury as well so that is something to keep an eye on, and I always like Derrick White at his price, but he has been overshadowed by Murray a lot this year. If Vassell were to miss again then it would make Lonnie Walker an interesting GPP value play as well.
Now for the Suns, they’re never a fun team to predict from a fantasy perspective, but Chris Paul should continue his increased usage as Booker is likely out again here and the Spurs bleed FPs to opposing PGs. Cameron Payne is also seeing an increased role with Booker out, he is one of the better value plays on this slate tonight. Deandre Ayton is also in a good spot here, and he’s been more aggressive offensively with Booker out and should continue to do so tonight. If you’re looking for some deeper GPP plays, Mikal Bridges has a high ceiling but is volatile, and Cam Johnson is seeing more minutes with Booker out as well, other than that though, I have no interest in the rest of this Suns team.
5-star play: Chris Paul
4-star play: Dejounte Murray, Derrick White, Jakob Poeltl, Deandre Ayton, Cameron Payne
Deeper Value: Lonnie Walker, Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson
GPP Sleeper: Cameron Payne, Lonnie Walker
Orlando Magic @ Golden State Warriors
Vegas Total: 216
Vegas Spread: Gsw -14.5
Starting with the Magic, they have a good amount of injuries here, the main beneficiary is going to be Cole Anthony but this is a tougher matchup as the Warriors have been solid against guards this year. With Suggs off the court he is going to have elite usage moving forward. The Magic frontcourt of Mo Bamba and Wendell Carter are going to anchor that frontcourt, but I like Carter’s matchup more here, as the Warriors play small which can spell trouble for Bamba here and keep him off the floor. Franz Wagner has been great as well and he’ll continue to see increased usage with Suggs out. The only issue I have with this Magic team is that this game could get ugly here as the Warriors have been elite so far this year. If you’re looking to get really deep, Terrence Ross is a GPP play here and his minutes will be blowout proof.
Now for the Warriors, the obvious main play is going to be Stephen Curry here especially coming off two tough matchups in a row but gets a good matchup here tonight against this Magic backcourt. He is an elite play as the Magic are bleeding FPs to opposing guards this year. Jordan Poole also has a great matchup but he is scoring dependent so he’ll be GPP only. Draymond Green is also coming off two solid games as well, and I could see him having another here as the Warriors will need him on the glass tonight with Carter and Bamba. Andrew Wiggins has stayed hot as well, but we all know he is never more than GPP play with his volatility. Otto Porter has also been seeing some nice minutes here lately and he’s in a good spot here and should be super low owned coming off the bench.
5-star play: Stephen Curry
4-star play: Cole Anthony, Jordan Poole, Wendell Carter, Franz Wagner, Draymond Green
Deeper Value: Otto Porter, Terrence Ross, Andrew Wiggins
GPP Sleeper: Terrence Ross, Otto Porter
Los Angeles Clippers @ Portland Trailblazers
Vegas Total: 215
Vegas Spread: Lac -3
Here we have the hammer game, and it should be a good matchup here especially given the pace of this game. Paul George draws an elite matchup here as the Blazers have been decimated by injuries so far and they don’t have anyone that can contain him. Reggie Jackson also draws a good matchup here, and he is the most consistent of these Clipper guards. Terance Mann will run the 2nd unit and he has some nice upside at this price. Serge Ibaka has also been starting and the minutes are on the rise as well, he draws a great matchup here as the Blazers are bleeding FPs to opposing 4s. Luke Kennard is also in play for GPPs here as well with Batum still out, he is underpriced a bit on both sites
Now for the Blazers, they’re gonna be hurting a bit for a week or so here, with Dame and Nassir Little out. Anfernee Simons also went down with an injury so this Blazers team is really hurting right now. CJ McCollum is gonna be in line for huge usage here, he’s a premier play tonight especially with this game being the hammer game, so he should go underowned. Jusuf Nurkic won’t be far behind him in production here and he draws a favorable matchup against this Clippers frontcourt. There will be plenty of value here tonight as well, and even Norman Powell should be in line for big minutes, but he is still pretty scoring dependent. Dennis Smith Jr. will be the main beneficiary with Simons and Dame out, he went for 40+ FPs last game and this Clippers team is not good against guards either. Ben McLemore is also seeing solid minutes in that Nassir Little role and he will be virtually unowned. Lastly, you can round out your options with Robert Covington who is in play for GPPs at this price.
5-star play: Paul George, CJ McCollum
4-star play: Reggie Jackson, Jusuf Nurkic, Dennis Smith Jr., Norman Powell
Deeper Value: Robert Covington, Serge Ibaka, Ben McLemore, Terance Mann
GPP Sleeper: Luke Kennard, Dennis Smith Jr.
